Juneteenth on Galveston Island

The celebration of Juneteenth will be on Friday June 19th with many activities happening on the island for the weekend. You can visit the ongoing exhibit The Pullman Porters: A Tribute to Juneteenth at the Galveston Railroad Museum through June 30th.

From 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday the 19th celebrate the 161st Anniversary of Juneteenth at 2217 Strand Street. Enjoy live dance performances, a live band, cultural art and artifacts inside the center, all in the spirit of a family-friendly block party. This one’s for the culture—come join the celebration!
